There are many ways to train small group leaders. I have discovered that one of the most efficient ways to train new small group leaders is to use experienced small group leaders as coaches. This is one of the most efficient approaches to teaching new people how to lead small groups. Even though this is helpful, having a significant amount of biblical knowledge shouldn't be what drives us to find new leaders or to train them. This training may include the length of their commitment, the frequency of other trainings throughout the year and the requirement of their attendance at those trainings, and even the frequency with which they are expected to meet with their group during the course of a given year.
